The all-new redesigned GMC Terrain was first unveiled at the 2017 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Since then, it kept evolving and the 2020 GMC Terrain is the best version yet.
For 2020, the compact SUV comes equipped with either the 1.5L gas turbocharged engine or the 2.0L gas turbocharged engine. The former has a 680 kg (1500 lb) max trailering capacity, while the latter has a max trailering capacity of 1588 kg (3500 lb). Both of these engines are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
The 2020 Terrain comes in three trims, SLE, SLT and, of course, Denali. The range-topping Terrain Denali offers even more exclusivity than ever before. It features a satin chrome grille, body-colour fascias and lower trim, 19 in bright machined-aluminum wheels with premium Grey painted accents, chrome roof rails, door handles, side mirror caps and body-side moulding.
Meanwhile, inside, the GMC Terrain will give you a first-class experience with its Soft-touch materials and real aluminum trim. Furthermore, the fold-flat front-passenger and second-row seats will handle objects up to 2.4 m (8 ft) like a breeze.
Another great characteristic found in the 2020 GMC Terrain is, without a doubt, the Traction Select System, which allows you to make real-time adjustments for optimal capability. Available on All-Wheel-Drive models the system is split into 4 modes: FWD, AWD, Off-Road and Tow/Haul.
The GMC Terrain is also packed with all the most recent technologies and safety features on the market. Indeed, the SUV features a built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a customizable touchscreen and many more.
One of the biggest safety features is now standard on the 2020 Terrain, the GMC Pro Safety. The safety system includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, following distance indicator and front pedestrian braking to only name those.
