All engines are mated to a ten-speed automatic transmission that delivers power to all four wheels.

As for the Ford Expedition, one relies more on a single engine, a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 that develops only 375 horsepower to 400 horsepower depending on the variant.

Not only does it offer less choice than the Yukon, the Ford Expedition has a towing capacity that is limited to 6,000 pounds. For the Yukon, we are talking about a much higher capacity of 8,400 pounds, which allows you to tow larger trailers and larger boats.

More space in the 2021 GMC Yukon

When it comes to full-size SUVs, space is inevitably an important facet. The Yukon offers plenty of it, with a total cargo space of 3,479 liters with the rear seats down, which is much more volume than the Expedition, even in its extended version!

Finally, the GMC Yukon is offered in a Z71 version which brings a whole new dimension of ruggedness. Some of the items included in this variant include red scuff plates and tow hooks, 20-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, tubular running boards and available Air Ride Adaptive Four-Corner Suspension. The Ford Expedition does not offer such an advanced variant.
