GMC has revealed its updated Sierra HD lineup for the 2024 model year. The new Sierra HD features the debut of the Denali Ultimate trim, as well as updated interior designs and more trailering power. Here's a closer look at what's new for the 2024 GMC Sierra HD.
Denali Ultimate Trim
The top-of-the-line Denali Ultimate trim debuts for the 2024 model year. The Denali Ultimate trim builds upon the luxurious appointments of the Denali trim and adds even more premium features and amenities.
The exterior of the Denali Ultimate features a unique grille design with chrome accents and a unique fender badging featuring the topography of Mount Denali. A six-way MultiPro Tailgate and power assist steps are standard, along with 20-inch bright machined aluminum wheels with High Gloss black accents.
The interior of the Denali Ultimate features full-grain leather-appointed seats, open-pore Paldao wood, 16-way power-adjustable and massaging front seats, a Bose premium audio system, and a 15-inch-diagonal multicolour head-up display.
Updated Interior Designs
GMC's Sierra HD pickup truck is getting a boost for the 2024 model year with the addition of a massive 13.4-inch tablet-style touchscreen infotainment system. This large-format display dominates the interior cabin, offering users a user-friendly experience with its landscape orientation. In addition, the GMC Sierra HD will also offer an available multicolour 15-inch head-up display and a new available 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. These two displays join forces with the infotainment system to provide over 40 inches of immersive digital displays, helping to create an engaging, customizable and comprehensive driving experience.
More Trailering Power
GMC's latest Sierra HD is a real powerhouse. The available revised 6.6L Duramax turbo-diesel engine now delivers 470 hp and 975 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to the newly paired 10-speed Allison transmission, the 6.6L Duramax engine delivers impressive power across the entire operating speed range. And when it comes to towing, the Sierra HD is in a class by itself. It can tow up to 21,900 pounds with the Crew Cab model and max 2500 towing of up to 22,500 pounds.
GMC has made some major changes and upgrades to produce more efficient combustion and enhance overall performance. These include a new turbocharger, increased power and torque, improved engine braking, new cylinder heads with improved cooling jackets, and an all-new combustion system within the heads that's matched with next-generation injectors. GMC has definitely raised the bar with the latest Sierra HD.
