Let's start our tour with the Extended Cab and 6.2-ft bed models. For versions equipped with the 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, the towing capacity is rated at 1,588 kg (3,500 pounds).

Switching to the 3.6-liter V6 engine, towing capability climbs to 3,175 kg (7,000 pounds).

Finally, with the 2.8-liter 4-cylinder turbo Diesel engine, towing capacity reaches 3493 kg (7,700 pounds).

Then, when we switch to the Crew Cab and 6.2-foot box versions, we find the same data for the V6 and Diesel engines, at 7,000 and 7,700 pounds, respectively.

The GMC Canyon Denali has a towing capacity of 7,550 pounds while the GMC Canyon AT4 version can tow 7,600 pounds.
