The all-new 2024 GMC Acadia introduced

At the recent Detroit Auto Show, GMC unveiled the all-new 2024 Acadia, showcasing a leap into the future for the brand's range of SUVs and crossovers. Entering the very popular premium mid-size SUV segment, the 2024 Acadia improves on its predecessor in terms of size, interior luxury, exterior aesthetics, technology, and safety features.

A More Spacious Three-row SUV

The 2024 Acadia marks a noticeable expansion over its predecessor, flaunting 10.6 inches of additional length and an additional height of 3.2 inches. This growth spurt facilitates a more spacious cabin, offering configurations for either seven or eight passengers depending on the selected trim. Moreover, this enhancement translates to a substantial increase in cargo capacity, boasting nearly 80% more space behind the third row and an over 36% increase behind the second row when compared to the previous generation, thereby promising versatility and greater storage options.

A Brand-New Engine for the 2024 GMC Acadia

Taking a leaf from the new 2024 Traverse, the Acadia too boasts a freshly-minted turbocharged engine. This 2.5L drivetrain, standard across all trims, promises not just a heightened power output but also superior towing capabilities than its predecessor. Generating 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque, it is coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission and optional all-wheel drive. This includes the Active Torque Control AWD system found in the revamped Acadia AT4, facilitating a robust trailering capacity of up to 5,000 pounds when adequately equipped.

A Host of New Technologies

Stepping into the 2024 Acadia, the technological improvements made this year are immediately apparent. Central to its new interior is a 15-inch portrait-oriented infotainment system, standard across all trims, that offers a suite of customizable and interactive features, including Google compatibility and high-contrast display options. This system is complemented by an 11-inch driver information center, presenting vital statistics at a glance.

In terms of safety, the Acadia houses a comprehensive set of features that heighten both active safety and driver assistance. From a plethora of camera views enhancing visibility to a host of alerts and assists that help in mitigating collision risks with pedestrians, cyclists, and other vehicles. Furthermore, it introduces the innovative Super Cruise technology, providing hands-free driving assistance on approved roads across the U.S. and Canada, and integrating features like trailering assist and automatic lane-change capabilities.

The Return of Acadia AT4 and Denali

Acadia AT4 – A Pinnacle of Rugged Capability

The all-new Acadia AT4 represents the best this model has to offer in terms of off-road capability, blending advanced technologies with unique design elements. Its heightened stance and wider track, paired with 18-inch AT tires, promise superior handling and stability, even on rough terrains. The AT4 also houses a suite of exclusive features, including a specialized suspension system, Active Torque Control all-wheel drive, and distinctive interior and exterior styling cues that embody both elegance and ruggedness.

Acadia Denali – The Embodiment of Refined Luxury

The Acadia Denali makes a welcome return, setting a new standard in luxury for this model. Its exterior is adorned with distinctive trim accents, a signature grille, and optionally available 22-inch aluminum wheels, the largest ever to grace the Acadia. Inside, occupants are treated to a premium environment, complete with a panoramic sunroof, upscale wood and chrome accents, and a selection of seating configurations offering both comfort and luxury. This premium experience is further amplified by an advanced noise-cancellation system and a Bose premium sound system, promising a serene and enjoyable journey every time.

In conclusion, the 2024 GMC Acadia stands as a testament to GMC's commitment to innovation, luxury, and safety, offering a driving experience that is both comfortable and secure. Its unveiling signals a promising future for the brand's family of SUVs and crossovers, ushering in a new era of premium and capable vehicles.
