There's something new with the GMC Terrain in 2022. No, the model isn't entirely new, but there are some interesting things to get your teeth into as a little refresh has been in order for this unique SUV.
Here's what makes it stand out in the market.
Its style
The Terrain benefits from a unique style on the market, specific to the truck brand that is GMC. It doesn't look like any other model in the industry, which adds to its cachet. And this year, the distinction is even stronger, as the company has made a few tweaks. This is especially noticeable at the front as new grilles are introduced across the family. The same goes for the wheels and headlights, which have been given new visual signatures.
The Denali version, in particular, stands out more than ever, as it exudes luxury.
New colors (4) are also offered.
AT4
The big news for 2022 is the arrival of an AT4 version. We have already seen this level of finish with other models and its popularity is very strong. With the Terrain, the AT4 treatment comes in the form of aesthetic improvements that make it possible to recognize the version at first glance. These include front skid plates and 17-inch Goodyear Wrangler tires, which are better suited for short off-road rides.
The AT4 model also benefits from the Terrain Management System, which offers three different driving modes.
Lower prices
But the best news for 2022 is definitely this price drop that has been announced for all versions except the Denali. Basically, we're talking about reductions that range from $600 to $800 with the SLE, SLT and Elevation models. Better yet, they come with added standard content (LED headlights and lights, push-button start, automatic climate control, wireless connection to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), so we're double winners.
The Denali model, meanwhile, still offers new features like a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, automatic park assist and HD surround view with the rearview camera as standard.
If you had the GMC Terrain on your shopping list, there's no better time than now to take advantage of it when it offers more than ever before in terms of value.
